Our People
Brenda Ratcliff
Brenda’s passion is bringing out the best in everyone she works with - from leaders in New Zealand’s major government agencies, to managers wanting connect better with their teams, through to individuals who want to communicate in a more impactful way. She helps clients dig deep and tackle long-standing and difficult issues that hold them back from their own success. People who work with Brenda say she does this in a way that is thoughtful, creative and gutsy.
Before joining pattillo, she held a leading organisational development role in New Zealand's largest government agency, the Ministry of Social Development. There, she facilitated both crackingly good conferences for senior leaders, and more intimate workshops for teams seeking to lift performance. She was also responsible for some ‘out of the box‘ training, including the award winning workshop on political judgement ‘Chief for a Day’ which won the 2011 IPANZ Leadership Award. Brenda was also part of the winning team for the same award in 2010 for her design of an innovative talent management programme. Her reputation for ideas generation and rapport skills make her highly sought after for both coaching for strong performance and workshop leadership.
Brenda has a strong track record in leadership and management in both government and the NGO sectors, focusing on multi-stakeholder engagement. Working now for pattillo is a dream comes true because it gives her the opportunity to work with a broader range of clients using her impressive range of tools. As a trained Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) facilitator and coach, she helps individuals and groups think and behave in ways that are motivated, uplifting and successful. Brenda delivers in-depth conflict resolution training which helps clients get their own needs met, listen powerfully, and work together well to seek radical new solutions.
